⚠️ 20 flood alerts in Lincolnshire, Short Ferry road near Lincoln closed again due to flooding

There are 20 flood alerts across Lincolnshire, as the heavy snow and rainfall that fell across the county yesterday has had an immediate impact, with swollen water levels rising again.  

Lincolnshire County Council has had to close the Short Ferry road at Fiskerton near Lincoln on advice from the Environment Agency. The damaged riverbank that was being repaired following damage due to previous flooding has overtopped again.  

That means that conditions are too dangerous for traffic to use the road in the immediate area. The diversion route remains as: B1202, A158, A15 bypass and then Fiskerton Road into Fiskerton.

  • Tributaries of the lower River Witham from Blankney to Sleaford
