Tributes continue to pour in for a much-loved Lincoln man after a body was discovered in the River Witham.
Callum Sendall, 26, was reported missing to police on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Police believe that the body found during a search operation in River Witham at Stamp End, Lincoln, on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 6 is that of Callum, but they said formal identification hadn’t yet taken place.
Callum’s family have been made aware and a file has been passed to the coroner.
In a public tribute on Facebook, Callum’s sister Hollie Anne Sendall said: “My heart aches. I have no words to put into any form of a sentence, there is nothing anybody could say or do that will ever make this ok.
“I will remember you by all of our countless happy memories together. You were a beautiful, cheeky, kind, caring, funny, sweet soul of a brother.
“You wore your heart on your sleeve and had endless amounts of love to give.
“We would have done and we did do anything for one another.
“You have been taken from this world and our family way too soon to even comprehend.
“There will be a huge hole that could never be filled by the loss of your life. I miss you - I love you and I always will Callum.”
Ella Walsh said: “Heartbroken. It’s been an absolute pleasure growing up with you Callum.
“Grateful for the bond our families share and have instilled in us, that’s allowed us to share so many amazing experiences and moments together.
“There will always be a massive hole without you. Your smile (and you in that charity shop dress) will be forever etched in my mind.
“I will cherish all of these moments forever, even the ones where we all fall out like brothers and sisters. Family always.”
A plethora of tributes and messages of condolences were also left in tribute on The Lincolnite and Lincolnshire Police’s pages, including from Lauren Hunter who said: “Thinking of his family and friends. Will always remember his lovely smile. Rest in paradise.”
Kayla Louise said: “You will be missed Cal! Everyone you met, you made laugh and smile more than you’ll ever know.”
